Outstanding Seniors for October 

Leigh Anne Krompasky and Jonathan Reed were recognized as outstanding seniors at the October school board meeting.

 

Leigh Anne, daughter of Linda Martin of Lake Ariel, has been first in her class for the first three years of high school, earning Distinguished Honors/Principal’s List each marking period. She is a three-year member of the National Honor Society. She is currently enrolled in AP U.S. Government and Politics, AP Chemistry, and AP Calculus. 

Her extracurricular activities include FBLA (competing at three state conferences and two national conferences), three years of indoor track, varsity track, a Lackawanna League All-Star, and four years of varsity soccer, serving as captain in her senior year.

Leigh Anne intends to become a dermatologist.

Jonathan, son of Linda and Gerald Reed of Lake Ariel is ranked second in his class and has attained Principal’s list numerous times. He is enrolled in five Advanced Placement classes: chemistry, calculus, physics, U.S. government and politics, and English literature. He is a three-year member of the National Honor Society and SADD, a four-year member of the marching band, serving as section leader and two years as treasurer. He has participated in Envirothon and attended the state and national conferences for FBLA, winning first place at states and 6th place at nationals for Introduction to Technology Concepts. He is also a three-year member of the tennis team.

An active member of his community, Jonathan is president of his church youth group, is a 12-year Boy Scout, having earned his Eagle Scout Award. His senior project was also community-focused as he rebuilt a dock and floating weather station at Lacawac Sanctuary.
