Outstanding Seniors Recognized at May School Board Meeting 

 
 
 Kristen Krayer, daughter of Margaret Krayer and David Krayer, has challenged herself academically, taking AP U.S. Government and Politics and AP Biology. She has attained honor roll for four years and the principal's list in March 2008. Additionally, she participated in the Environmental Forum as a sophomore, Multicultural Leadership Camp at Misericodria University (June 2008),  Women in Science and Engineering Camp at Penn State (June 2009), and was a robotics demonstrator at Western Wayne Middle School's Science Camp in May 2009.  Her extracurricular activities include four years in student council and Tobacco Free Youth/SADD; three years in CATS club and National Honor Society; and two years in Science Olympiad and the Diversity Club. Kristen plans to attend East Stroudsburg University in the pre-physician assistant program.

Chloe Karnick, daughter of Lori Lucchesi and Steven Karnick, has attained the Distinguished Honor Roll all four years of high school and will have completed four Advanced Placement courses: English Language, English Literature, Biology, and U.S. Government and Politics. She has placed at the regional, state, and national levels in her four years in FBLA. Her national awards include 7th place in FBLA Principles and Procedures and 4th place in Business Presentation. A member of the National Honor Society, the National Business Honor Society, Brain Bee, and the staff of the Planet Wildcat. She played varsity tennis for three years and served a one-year term as junior councilwoman of the Waymart Borough in 2008. She won the President's Volunteer Service Award in 2010. Chloe will attend Penn State at University Park to major in advertising and public relations.
