Directions to Western Wayne

From Interstate-81 or Interstate-84
  • District Office, High & Middle Schools,
    and R.D. Wilson Elementary
    1. Take I-81 North to Exit 187 (I-84 East)
    2. From I-84, take Exit 8 (PA-247/PA-348)
    3. At the top of the ramp, turn left onto PA-247
    4. At the light, turn right onto PA-348 East
    5. After 0.6 miles, turn left onto Cortez Road
    6. After 3.5 miles, make a slight right to stay on Cortez Road.
    7. For the District Office or
      High & Middle Schools:
      • Turn right onto PA-296 South
      • District Office is 0.25 miles on left
      • High and Middle Schools are 1 mile on left
      For R.D. Wilson Elementary:
      • Turn left onto PA-296 North
      • R.D. Wilson is 5 miles on right

  • Hamlin Elementary & Lake Ariel Elementary
    1. Follow steps 1 through 4 above
    2. Continue on PA-348 West for 4 miles
    3. Bear left onto PA-590 West
    4. Continue 1.5 miles to the traffic light at PA-191
    5. For Hamlin Elementary:
      • Turn right onto PA-191 South
      • Hamlin Elementary is 0.5 miles on right
      For Lake Ariel Elementary:
      • Turn left onto PA-191 North for 3.5 miles
      • As you pass Howe's gas station, PA-191 will turn sharply to the right. As you make this turn, turn left onto Gravity Road.
      • Lake Ariel Elementary is on the left
From US Route 6
  1. Take US-6 (West from Carbondale or East from Honesdale)
  2. In Waymart, turn onto PA-296 South (if coming from Carbondale, a right turn; if coming from Hondesdale, a left turn)
    • R.D. Wilson Elementary is 2 miles on the left
    • District Office is 7 miles on the left
    • High & Middle Schools are 8 miles on the left
  3. For Lake Ariel Elementary:
    • Follow PA-296 for 9 miles from US-6
    • At the split of PA-296 and PA-196, bear left to stay on PA-296
    • After 1 mile, turn right onto Gravity Road/PA-296
    • Lake Ariel Elementary is 1.5 miles on the right
  4. For Hamlin Elementary:
    • Follow PA-296 for 9 miles from US-6
    • At the split of PA-296 and PA-196, bear right onto PA-196 South
    • Follow PA-196 for 3.5 miles to PA-191 South (continue straight onto PA-191 South)
    • Hamlin Elementary is 1.5 miles on the right (after the traffic light)
